Sr Manager, Solutions Architect (ICO Operations)The Sr. Manager - Solutions Architect supports internal Operational Teams (being principally RWE/RSH & PCS) in the process of planning and building custom solutions that provide a cohesive and competitive budget in line with the agreed strategy for any given opportunity. The Sr. Manager - Solutions Architect acts as a liaison between proposals, operations, commercial affairs and business development bridging gaps and consolidating the best value-offer & Operational strategy that ICON can present to our clients. The main objective of the Sr. Manager - Solutions Architect through all their interactions and scope of activities is to increase RWE/RSH & PCS “Win Rate” with financially sound and scalable costs and Customer “orientated” solutions / strategies that meet our client needs and sustain ICON’s objectives in revenue and performance growth
Responsibilities
  • Participates to the delivery high quality client-focused proposals, budgets and client grids for new business opportunities within given timeframe
  • Adhere to the proposal process
  • Evaluate and understand client requirements for incoming Request for Proposals (RFPs) and provide operations and proposals teams with an architectural frame for budget design that is competitive and that supports the overall strategy
  • Participate in the preparation, review and submission of proposals and budgets for new business opportunities within given timeframe
  • Support Operations and Proposal Development Associates throughout the proposal generation process including attending the proposal kick off, clinical strategy and other opportunity specific meetings as required
  • Proactively engage the appropriate personnel including Operational teams from all functional areas that contribute to the proposal and Sales throughout the proposal generation process
  • Provide consistent support to meet proposal submission timelines
  • Attend bid defense preparation meetings and other client meetings as a support role as required
  • Contribute to the training of Operational Teams in the use of budgeting tools and materials as a means to facilitate their review and contribution of proposal budget development
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of budgeting tools to integrate innovation, efficiency and flexibility as a means to increase the value offer for clients and competitive bidding. Integration of efficiencies and adaptive costing for integrated ICON services.
  • Contribute to the development of processes and tools to improve the accuracy and quality of proposals and contracts
  • Comply with ICON administrative, training and human resources policies
  • Assist with continuous departmental process improvements and participate in special projects periodically assigned, in addition to day-to-day duties

  • Ability and willingness to travel at least 10% of the time (international and domestic: fly and drive)
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
