Iconix Metal Works, a leader in custom metal fabrication, is expanding our team in our Gastonia/Bessemer City facility.

We are looking for an experienced 3D Modeler/CAD Designer with drive and ability to join our team. Must be a skilled 3D Modeler/CAD Designer with a minimum 5 years experience. References also a plus!

This position will:

• Create 3D models of products using AutoDesk Inventor and/or AutoCAD
• Create shop drawings from 3D Models
• Generate parts lists from 3D Models
• Import Point Cloud Data from 3D Reality Scanning system to generate existing conditions
• Communicate with architects and engineers on details
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years 3D Modeling/CAD experience preferably with AutoDesk Inventor and/or AutoCAD
• Must be able to follow directions and work within a team
• Consistently meet contractual deadlines
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Good decision making and analysis skills
• Must have good math skills
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings
• Must have a basic understanding of the metric system
• Additional hours as required to accomplish objectives and goals
• Successful passing of drug screening
• Ability to pass background check
