ICR Staffing Services, Inc is Hiring an Electrical Engineer Near Kingsport, TN

Responsibilities:

1. Design and implement power distribution systems, including 480V electrical distribution, switchgear, transformers, and motor control centers, to support manufacturing operations.

2. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of electrical equipment, including breakers, fuses, and relays, to ensure compliance with safety standards and minimize downtime.

3. Troubleshoot electrical issues related to power distribution systems, diagnose root causes, and implement corrective actions to resolve problems promptly.

4. Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to develop and execute preventive maintenance programs for electrical systems and equipment, with a focus on 480V systems.

5. Provide technical expertise and support for capital projects involving power distribution upgrades, installations, and modifications.

6. Optimize energy usage and recommend efficiency improvements for 480V systems to reduce costs and environmental impact.

7. Participate in risk assessments and develop safety protocols for electrical work involving power distribution systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

8. Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in electrical engineering, and apply relevant knowledge to enhance manufacturing processes.

9. Mentor and train junior engineers and technicians on electrical systems and procedures.

10. Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to procure equipment, services, and technical support for power distribution projects as needed.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Master's degree is a plus.

2. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

3. Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

5. Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, NFPA), particularly as they relate to power distribution and 480V systems.

6. Hands-on experience with PLC programming, HMI interfaces, and industrial control systems.

7. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.

8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

9. Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.

10. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
