Not your average kitchen position! We are located in Newport harbor (google map location) come grill and cook outside under a tent while watching boats sail by. No two days are the same and not the drudgery of a hot downtown kitchen, the shifts are over early, and we offer a fairly flexible schedule. Ida Lewis Yacht Club in Newport, RI is looking for a cook to join our team for the 2024 club season May- Oct. We are located on 170 Wellington Ave. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and hard-working. Renumeration based upon experience and ability to work as part of team.
Responsibilities
- Set up workstations
- Cook dishes to Club standards
- Follow health and safety guidelines
- Prepare ingredients for use during shift
- Grill meals to order
Qualifications
- Proven work experience as a cook
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively
