Schedule Full time, variable, to include days, nights and weekends Position Summary Performs non-invasive cardiac testing (e.g., treadmill tests, ECGs, halter scans) for inpatient and ambulatory populations. Responsibilities Operates electrocardiograph (EKG) machines to record electromotive variations of patients' heart muscle in order to provide data used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of heart ailments. Gathers pertinent patient data and explains test procedures to patients. Marks, edits, mounts, and labels tracing for review and interpretation by physicians. Reviews recording from each electrode for clarity and deviations from the norm. Assist physicians during treadmill testing. Attach and remove halter and event monitors. Perform patient care duties as assigned. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
