Come join an exceptional team that works well together and supports each other providing top-notch patient care. $15k Sign On Bonus offered for new hires Schedule: 3 Teams consisting of 3 circulating RN's and 3 Scrubs (RN's or CST') in a 3 week rotation. Work 40 M-F (0700-1530), Call Monday 7am- Monday 7am, Off 7, Work 40 hr M-F (0700-1530), etc. Weekday call starts at 1530 and ends at 0700. Weekend call is 24 hrs. Position Summary The operating room is committed to providing quality surgical and diagnostic/therapeutic care to inpatient, outpatient and ambulatory pediatric through geriatric patients. The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient's needs. Responsibilities Performs pre-operative procedures such as selection and placement of surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment. Assists surgeon and designated assistants in invasive procedures, passing instruments and supplies and anticipating the needs of the surgical team. During the surgical procedure provides instruments, sutures, and other sterile supplies. Helps prepare, care for, and dispose of specimens taken for laboratory analysis and helps apply dressings. Applies basic knowledge of anatomy & physiology, medical terminology and microbiology. Applies knowledge related to emergency situations and surgical procedures in the operating room. May develop, organize and deliver continuing education topics and/or training (in-services). May assist in precept of students and new staff. Maintains a safe work environment. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
