Summary Incumbents in this position provide leadership and direction in the effective operation of the mining data and technology processes and program in a safe, environmentally sound, and efficient manner in accordance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations. Supervise, evaluate, train, and motivate hourly personnel. Maintain high level of confidentiality. The incumbent is also expected to provide leadership in process, organizational, and personnel improvement efforts. He/she will also perform at a high level in positively relating to others and positively representing to others the views of his/her leadership. The incumbent will be a proactive maintenance and operations leader, identifying process and equipment vulnerabilities and creating plans to act upon findings. This role also plans, manages, and supervises the operation of the site's CAT MineStar software and ensures accurate data is collected and effectively utilized to support mine planning and operational execution. Work involves compiling data and ensuring the smooth flow of work to support operation and engineering department needs. Work also involves training employees to solve problems encountered. Serves as site mining technology lead while ensuring that all safety and environmental regulations are being administered. Key Responsibilities Responsible for effectively communicating data to operations and ensuring metrics are effectively utilized Responsible for overall MineStar System Ensures accuracy of MineStar data Responsible for success of implementation of role and process changes in operations to fully utilize MinesStar Ensures the successful use and continuous improvement of MineStar system and its components.
