About The CARE Clinic Saint Alphonsus CARE Clinic offers group prenatal and infant care to families who have arrived in the United States through the refugee resettlement program. Patients who choose this model for prenatal care meet every other week in a group setting facilitated by a nurse and social worker, while also seeing their midwife individually. Well-child checks are also offered in a similar manner for infants up to 12 months old. The clinic's holistic approach to care attempts to meet the patient's and their families' physical, psychological, and social needs in a trauma-informed, culturally adapted, and linguistically appropriate manner. The clinic utilizes midwives, family physicians, nursing staff, social workers, interpreters, health advisors, and patient service representatives to implement their integrative model of care. Position Purpose: As a Patient Service Representative, you will work in conjunction with physicians and clinical staff to take care of patients' administrative needs. Your primary responsibilities would include checking in patients for appointments, collecting patient co-pays, answering telephones, taking accurate messages, scheduling appointments, and checking insurance eligibility. Patient Service Representatives utilize our electronic record system to verify and update patient demographic information as well as posting and balancing of payments collected. Patient Service Representatives are friendly and provide excellent customer service, assuring that patients are informed and well cared for while waiting for their appointment, creating a positive experience for patients. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required Previous customer service experience required. Healthcare experience preferred. Electronic health record (EHR) experience a plus.
