Senior Industrial Engineer (Discrete Event Simulation / Mode at Emerson in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Do you have experience in process simulation and a creative problem-solving approach? We are looking for a Senior Industrial Engineer who enjoys finding innovative solutions to customer issues and is keen to make a real difference If you are a professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an appealing role for you Emerson's Real-Time Modeling System (RTMS) is the leading discrete event simulation platform for finite scheduling, debottlenecking, and capacity analysis of complex manufacturing processes. We are hiring a Senior Industrial Engineer who will lead customer projects working closely with our clients to deliver successful implementations for their manufacturing plants. In this role you will: Work directly with clients to develop discrete event simulation models in RTMS for complex processes Perform debottlenecking and capacity analyses for manufacturing facilities Build statistical models for use in process engineering, supply chain, etc. Assess enterprise data sources such as SAP, Oracle, DeltaV, OSISoft PI, Maximo, etc. and integrate these sources into the model Support the client with software issues Implement client changes into the models Work on a timeline with deliverables with a project team Assist in debugging the RTMS product and identifying product features and improvements For this role you will need: Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering or a related Engineering discipline with Operations Management experience; Minimum 5 years experience in a similar discipline. Demonstrated experience with Discrete event simulation tools Good knowledge of probability and statistics Ability to independently develop software solutions for novel problems; Demonstrated experience in mathematical modeling and scripting languages (e.g. VBA, python, Matlab, R); Strong interpersonal skills in order to advise our customers Ability to travel up to 15% of the time (domestic and international travel).
