Job Overview: This role is an experienced corporate events manager who is extremely self-motivated, driven, committed and dedicated to their team and clients. They will be flexible to manage many types and sizes of programs with different teammates and stakeholders. They will also have the ability to work independently while adopting Rocket's budgeting, contracting, planning and financial process. A successful senior events manager will be able to handle last minute changes and challenges while staying focused on the overall goals of the event. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, organized and knows how to deliver exceptional customer service and can creatively adjust to any unique request that arise. Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Oversee execution of Rocket-led as well as IBM-led lead generation events Proven ability to manage and adhere to budget Lead all pre-planning of event for optimal success: campaign brief, logistics of presence, etc. Researching and proposing vendors when services are needed; nurturing vendor relationships for better service and pricing Manage ordering and inventory of all worldwide event giveaways to stay within budget, ensure consistent corporate branding, and successful distribution Coordinate event logistics for Rocket's complex internal worldwide events including but not limited to: sales kickoff, leadership summit, hackathon Event set-up Content management Extensive pre-planning ensuring attendees are well prepared for the event Organize Rocket Executive level hosted events Menu and dcor planning Social evening event Content management Rooming list management On-site operation including staff and vendor management Exceptional customer service throughout Full-service pre-event and on-site planning for sales incentive trips: Menu and dcor planning, Liaison to multiple vendors, Attendee registration Rooming list management Transportation/Manifest management Vendor sourcing and contract negotiation On-site operation including staff and vendor management Required Qualifications: 5 years of Meeting or Event Planning experience Hotel contract management experience Full-service pre-event and on-site planning Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Database Management) Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with clients, vendors, etc. Must embody the Rocket Software brand and culture: empathy, trust, love and humanity Information Security: Information security is everyone's responsibility.
