Tableau Business Intelligence Analyst at IMSolutions, LLC in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Tableau Business Intelligence Analyst Remote Full Time #1223 - NOAA/IMS Experienced Share (IMSolutions seeks aTableau Business Intelligence Analystto fill an exciting opportunity supporting the federal government. This position is 100% remote - telework in the U.S. As a Tableau Business Intelligence Analyst , you willsupport acquisition, grants, and leadership teams with insights from analyzing acquisition, grants, finance, HR, and other business data from systems such as PRISM, the Federal Procurement Data System, and eRA Commons. You need to be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams and using strong analytical and data visualization skills to create program dashboards in Tableau that assist in making recommendations for business and management decisions. Additionally, you adeptly identify and gather data, use data sets to find opportunities for understanding business performance and process optimization, use a variety of data tools, build and implement models, use/create algorithms, and design/run simulations to test the effectiveness of different courses of action, and builds tools that automate processes. Finally, you train and support team members in using Tableau and serve as a technical subject matter expert, developing and spearheading the implementation of data governance policy and best practices. These functions include: Identifies and gathers valuable business intelligence data sources, including company data, industry and field reports, public information, or purchased sources, and automates collection processes. Processes, cleans and verifies the integrity of data used for analysis. Assesses the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data-gathering techniques. Develop data governance policy and best practices. Compiles business intelligence or trends to support actionable recommendations and proposes solutions and strategies to business challenges. Maintains currentindustry and business trends knowledgethrough communication with professional organizations, suppliers, customers, competitors, and other informed individuals. Summarizes data reports for review by executives, managers, clients, and stakeholders, presenting information using data visualization techniques. Collaborates with the organization's acquisition, grants, and leadership teams to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions. Analyzes large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns. Develops custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets. Coordinates with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes. Develops processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy. Provide training and support to team members learning Tableau and serve as a technical subject matter expert. Required Experience: At least fifteen years of experience with data visualization and analysis, data set manipulation, and building statistical models. Experience working with the federal government on data initiatives is strongly preferred. Education: A bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Computer and Information Science, or a related field is required. A master's degree is preferred. Certification: Tableau Desktop Specialist Certification is required. Other: U.S. Citizenship or Foreign National status with a work permit and residence in the U.S. for three (3) or more years. Ability to pass a Federal Public Trust Clearance, which must be adjudicated favorably for you to begin working. This requires fingerprinting and reporting on your previous employment, residence, education, and financial and legal background. Candidates may be disqualified for federal or state convictions of crimes, military court-martials, delinquent federal debt including taxes and student loans, current use of illegal drugs, or lying on their application. Base compensation range and benefits: $120,000 to $150,000 - Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and location.
