Responsibilities

Receive raw materials and perform fulfillment material needs for front end production.

• Forklift operation in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Maintain flow of raw materials to and from each production work area on the front end of production.
• Ensure all machine operators have correct raw materials loaded in cages.
• Maximize production outputs by anticipating and managing raw material replenishment.
• Unload, inspect, mark, tag, record and verify all inbound raw materials shipments.
• Handle 2,000 lb. coils with critical care and safety.
• Perform FIFO material rotation in raw material staging racks.
• Weigh and record scrap at the end of each shift from each machine.
• Adhere to and maintain compliance with established systems, policies and procedures.
• Comply with all safety and housekeeping expectations and 5s standards.
• Keep supervisor(s) informed of progress, issues, and outages.

Qualifications Required

• High school diploma or GED required.
• A minimum of three (3) years materials handling experience required.
• Experience with manufacturing processes, production scheduling and inventory management required.
• Ability to obtain Forklift certification and demonstrated safe forklift driving required.
• Strong communication skills required.

Qualifications Preferred

• Post-secondary education in manufacturing, business or related field preferred.
