Network Engineer

About Us: IDEA TECH is a small company established in 1982, offering growth potential for employees. We are currently seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities: As a Network Engineer, you will collaborate with ITIMs, Project Managers, Network Planners, and vendors to design and maintain WAN (Wide Area Networks), LAN (Local Area Networks), and WLAN (Wireless Local Area Networks). Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and implementing network solutions using the Microsoft platform, VMWare, Sophos, and N-Able managed services.
• Diagnosing and repairing both hardware and software issues.
• Ensuring network security measures are in place.
• Performing disaster recovery operations and data backups as needed.
• Provide IT customer support for users and deployed network infrastructure.

Qualifications: To succeed in this role, you should have:

• 5 years of experience in networking, specifically using the Microsoft platform, VMWare, Sophos, and N-Able managed services.
• Bachelors degree
• Proficient in Office 365 Management, SharePoint Online and other Microsoft applications
• Proficient in IT hardware configuration, troubleshooting and repair.
• Data center management including server maintenance, deployments, VLANS, switches and the firewalls
• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
