Our Phoenix, Arizona location is looking to add a Field Service Technician to the team! This role will require up to 50% travel.
Key responsibilities include performing integration and acceptance test procedures (ATP), conducting repairs, and providing customer training on mechanical and electrical motion simulators and avionics test equipment. Additionally, you will assist with lab testing of customer devices. This position is crucial in ensuring our customers have complete confidence in Ideal Aerosmith’s products and services.
Job Responsibilities

• Set-up testing, operate motion simulation equipment and collect data on customer devices per customer statement of work.
• Maintain and calibrate lab equipment.
• Performs integration of Ideal product using manufacturing instructions, knowledge of electronics, electrical components, computers and system level functionality of the products.
• Sets up and operates test equipment to perform ATP of assemblies or systems under simulated operating conditions.
• Analyzes and interprets test information for acceptability.
• Inspection of assemblies (visual, continuity checks, etc) to troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment and components.
• Ability to troubleshoot remotely and provide timely responses to customers’ technical support inquiries via phone, email, or ticketing system. Work closely with engineering staff when needed to solve the customer issue.
• Represent Ideal while performing calibration and/or repair of product while onsite at customer facilities.
• Must be able to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the working calendar year.
• Ensure compliance to ISO 9001 requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in electronics or equivalent work experience.
• 2 years’ experience in similar work preferred.
• Ability to travel (domestic and internationally).
• Must have valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport.
• To meet the requirements for government contract work and work in a restricted facility, candidates must adhere to specific criteria set by federal regulations. This includes: 1) a U.S. citizen (whether born or naturalized); 2) a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or 3) a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with various measurement devices such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, etc.
• Experience with electrical test equipment such as oscilloscope, DMM, frequency counter, etc.
• Experience in the use of computers.
• Experience with LabVIEW, TestStand, or Matlab is a plus.
• Read and understand electrical and mechanical blueprints and schematics.
• Attention to follow detailed verbal and written instructions very important.
