Scope:

The Inside Sales Specialist is the main contact for the assigned customer base and functions as the liaison between the customer and internal departments such as Engineering, Customer Service, and most other functional areas of the Company.

Responsibility and Authority:

  • Has responsibility and authority to provide accurate quoting/pricing/sampling products for assigned customer base and will provide technical engineering and product support of our products, to the technical contacts of our customers, and our Engineers.

 Essential Functions:

  • Strategy lead on all Inside Sales initiatives and campaigns working with Marketing, VP of AM Sales, and Global Sales Support Manager including dead account revival, existing account growth, and new market penetration.
    1. Grows sales, serving as the primary sales contact/support, managing and growing House accounts as assigned.
    2. Lead on reviving dead accounts and identifying new customers by market segment.
    3. Works with sales team and Industry Manager on new market penetration strategies.
  • Routine tasks include; Quoting/pricing/sampling products, subsequently communicating this information to his/her assigned customer base, updates operating system with price master maintenance and customer master changes, process quotations for existing customers, referencing existing pricing and quotes with like margins or discounts. Determine which part numbers are recommended.
  • Assures timely response to customer requests
  • Perform regular pricing and gross margin analysis by customer
  • Forecast sales for upcoming year for assigned customer group
  • Responsible for obtaining credit application & customer information for any new customers developed for internal account set up.
  • Manage pricing for specials and promotional deals.
  • Coordinate sample requests with engineering, production, and sales.
  • When necessary, perform other typical duties.

 Position Requirements:

  • BS Degree in Business, Marketing preferred or equivalent experience retail/sales.
  • Proficient in spreadsheets, Power Point, and other traditional Microsoft Office applications. An emphasis on Excel, Filemaker Pro, and AS400 experience will be a plus.
  • Organizational skills to anticipate, plan, prioritize, and self-monitor workload, and handle routine, effective multi-tasking. 
  • Inter-personal skills to effectively work with co-workers, customers, and external contacts, to respond positively to any need, and self-manage spikes in workload.

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires physical dexterity to utilize computers, to sit/stand/squat, and kneel occasionally for extended periods of time. May occasionally lift objects up to 35 pounds. Use hands for simple and firm grasping and fine manipulation. Maintain regular attendance, and work required overtime, sometimes without prior notice. Communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
