Position Overview: As a Project Architect at Identity Architects, you will play a pivotal role in leading architectural projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to design standards, timelines, and budgetary constraints. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of architectural expertise, project management skills, and leadership abilities to drive successful project outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution; licensure as a Registered Architect (RA) preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager Architect in an architectural firm or related industry, with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in architectural design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track progress against established goals.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction practices in the USA.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with the capacity to motivate and guide project teams towards successful project outcomes.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality assurance, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed and possess a valid driver's license.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Design Development:

  • Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements, goals, and design preferences.
  • Lead design charrettes, brainstorming sessions, and concept development meetings with project stakeholders.
  • Prepare project proposals, feasibility studies, and schematic designs in response to client briefs.
  • Conduct site assessments, zoning analysis, and code reviews to inform design decisions.

Project Management and Coordination:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against established metrics.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings, status updates, and design reviews to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, and specifications, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, conflicts, and scope changes to maintain project scope and budget.

Construction Administration and Quality Assurance:

  • Oversee the construction phase of projects, including contractor selection, bidding processes, and contract negotiations.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, quality, and compliance with design intent.
  • Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and change orders in collaboration with the project team.
  • Resolve construction-related issues, conflicts, and field modifications in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards, building codes, and client expectations.

Client Communication and Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, providing project updates, and managing expectations.
  • Foster positive client relationships through effective communication, collaboration, and responsiveness.
  • Present project proposals, design concepts, and progress reports to clients and project stakeholders.
  • Solicit client feedback and incorporate revisions or modifications to design solutions as necessary.
