The Clinical Assistant is a full-time position (Monday through Friday, 8:15 am - 4:45 pm) responsible for assisting in day-to-day, forward-facing interactions with a wide range of new and existing patients. We are looking for a dental assistant to become a key member of our team. The ideal candidate will provide support to our doctors in delivering high-quality services to patients improving overall oral health and changing lives in the process. The Dental Assistant will be expected to perform a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties to ensure an efficient and smooth operation of the dental practice. To qualify for consideration, candidates will have a proven track record in forward-facing roles in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assist restorative/surgical dentist in surgical extraction, implant, and dental prosthesis procedures
• Assist restorative/surgical dentist in accurately and timely charting of patient records
• Perform dental radiographic/x-ray procedures
• Independently complete tasks such as initial records - both analog impressions and digital records
• Adjustments, relines, and post-op appointments under the supervision of a dentist
• Basic lab work such as pouring impressions, post-processing crowns and dentures, and manufacture of digital dentures
• Maintain highest clinical standards for sterilization, cleanliness, and infection control
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA/OSHA requirements
• Equipment maintenance
• Manage dental supplies and ordering
• Thoroughly complete clinical notes with detailed information
• Prepare referral updates, medical clearance requests, and any other clinical documentation as needed
• Schedule active patients back using the template provided
• Be a team player and help out when time allows
• Attend work events, continued education, and outings with the team

Qualifications include, but are not limited to:

• DANB Certification (Preferred)
• Dental Office or Lab Experience: 2 years
• Prosthodontics Experience
• Surgical Implant Experience
• Experience with Elderly and Medically Compromised Patients
• Experience with Digital Dentistry such as 3D Printing, Photogrammetry, Trios, etc.

Skills include, but are not limited to:

• Computer literacy to find files, organize information, and quickly learn new software programs
• Deep knowledge of dental products, dental procedures, and digital dentistry
• Quality-conscious
• Detail oriented
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Photography experience is a plus
• Laboratory experience is a plus
