Job Title : Intern UX Designer

Location: Herndon, VA

Duration : Full-time

UX Design Intern

As an Intern UX Designer you will gain hands-on experience in the field of user experience design by supporting the design team in creating intuitive and engaging user interfaces. This role involves assisting with user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing. You will have the opportunity to work on real projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and learn from experienced UX professionals, all while developing your skills and building your portfolio.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in conducting user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing.

• Help create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes for web and mobile applications.

• Collaborate with designers, developers, and product managers to refine and iterate on designs.

• Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on design elements and usability.

• Support the documentation of design processes and guidelines.

Competencies:

• Basic understanding of UX design principles and methodologies.

• Working knowledge of design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar software.

• Proactive and deliberate in your work.

• Good communication and collaboration skills.

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools, techniques, and feedback.

Qualifications:

• Some experience with UX design projects, either through coursework, personal projects, or previous internships.

• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and front-end development is a plus.

• A portfolio showcasing design work and demonstrating an understanding of UX principles is preferred.

• Strong desire to learn and grow in the field of UX design.
