Responsibilities:

• Perform audit procedures in accordance with audit objectives
• Identify and investigate data inconsistencies, and system and process opportunities, ensuring the integrity of the data in the packet
• Comprehend credit department business process, policies and procedures
• Visually review documentation and data, such as invoice numbers, remittance advices, insurance control numbers and packet notes
• Adapt to changes that come along, and address issues from multiple angles to reach a solution
• Develop strategies to manage time and work through packets quickly, (e.g. working by payer, by state). Must be able to prioritize work as well, (e.g. by packet age, compliance or special project).
• Streamline own processes to handle multiple priorities concurrently with shifting time frames in order to meet production and quality expectations
• Identify trends, issues and education opportunities in support of improving quality
• Identify training needs by evaluating Quality trends by team and department and then share results with credit trainers and leaders

Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• Minimum of two (2) years’ Quality assurance and auditing experience
• Experience working with electronic billing and A/R systems
• Intermediate computer proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel and Outlook
• Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment
• Ability to deal with confidential patient and payer information and/or issues, using discretion and judgment
• Consistent, regular, punctual attendance as scheduled is an essential responsibility of this position
• Preferred:
• Minimum of two (2) years’ revenue cycle experience with an emphasis on credits or strong working knowledge of credit balances and accounts receivable processes including ability to analyze insurance payer remittance advices
• Knowledge or experience working with a variety of health care insurance payers is preferred
