IES Residential is Hiring a Director of Human Resources - West Region Near Sugar, TX

General Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Human Resources Director. The HR Director will be responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the company. This includes talent management, organizational and performance management, training and development, compensation, and benefits. The HR Director will also oversee HR policies and procedures to ensure they reflect the company's values and meet compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy. Partner with senior management to identify HR needs and drive organizational success.
  • Talent Management: Lead talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies to ensure the company attracts and retains top talent. Oversee succession planning and leadership development programs.
  • Employee Relations: Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns, mediating conflicts, and promoting effective communication throughout the organization.
  • Performance Management: Design and implement performance appraisal systems to ensure consistent and objective evaluations. Support managers in addressing performance issues and developing their teams.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Update and maintain HR policies and procedures.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Develop competitive compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain employees. Conduct regular market analyses to ensure competitiveness and cost-effectiveness.
  • Training and Development: Identify organizational training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and career development. Facilitate training sessions and workshops.
  • HR Metrics and Reporting: Monitor HR metrics and generate reports to provide insights into HR performance and inform decision-making.
  • Organizational Development: Lead organizational change initiatives and help drive cultural and structural changes that align with company goals.

Specific Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably within a large organization.
  • Certifications: Professional HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) is highly desirable.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
    • Excellent leadership and management skills.
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
    • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
    • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to influence senior management and drive organizational success
