IES Residential is Hiring a Manual Machinist Near Joy, PA
(Payable after 90 days of Employment)
We are looking for manual machinist to join our job shop. Join a growing organization where we machine interesting and unique pieces. We have an opening for a machinist to work on a variety of manual machines to build and create one of a kind parts for our customers. Our unique job shop has challenging projects on a regular basis. So if you want to problem solve and make cool things, come check out our shop.
Overhead crane and rigging experience a plus.
Requirements
- Review samples, drawings or instructions to understand specifications of output
- Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job
- Select appropriate machines (e.g. lathes) and position or load material for a job
- Monitor machine while working to adjust the feed, maintain temperature and identify issues
- Check output to ensure consistency with specifications and discard defects
- Ability to work in a safe, cautious manner, exercising care and concern for people, equipment, and product
- Willing to learn large material handling
- Competency in being able to prioritize, make decisions, follow instructions, recognize and adhere to standards of quality
- Work independently and with others, demonstrating responsible behavior and attention to detail
- Ability to perform daily preventative maintenance measures to ensure safety of equipment and work environment.
- Knowledge of crane rigging experience with large parts a plus
- Strong math skills
