IFG's client, located in the western suburbs, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the team.

Due to significant growth, we are looking for a strong Senior Accountant who will be a leader for the team. They will oversee financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and contribute to strategic financial planning. This role requires an accounting professional with experience in assisting in the creation of efficient processes and developing month-end workflows and policies.

Responsibilities:

• Understand, review, approve, and resolve issues with vendor invoices.
• Own expense reimbursement process for employees.
• Manage capex process.
• Prepare journal entries during the month end close process.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with the preparation of management reporting.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Assist with the consolidation process during month end.
• Assist in process improvements.
• Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.
• Prepare ad-hoc analysis reports as requested.

Education And Experience Required:

• College degree in accounting or finance
• Minimum of 2-3 years applicable work experience – Public Accounting Audit/Assurance
• CPA Preferred

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of basic accounting procedures
• Familiarity with financial accounting statements
• Extremely organized and detail orientated.
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of systems
• Quick learner who can prioritize and multi-task.
• Good communication skills
• Able to take direction to work independently and as part of a team.
