- Role Summary: The Elections and Civic Engagement Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the coordination and implementation of various projects related to elections, international initiatives, and civic engagement. The role ensures the smooth operation of key programs and contributes to the organization's mission of preserving and advancing the fundamentals of democracy.
4. What are the key responsibilities?
- Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide operational project support, including scheduling, note taking, processing purchase order requests, invoicing, and building and maintaining internal SharePoint sites.
- Support 3rd party vendor and partner relationships to ensure Microsoft project requirements are met.
- Support key performance indicator reviews and contribute to the development and maintenance of internal reporting and communications processes.
- Engage with program/process owners, stakeholders, and business partners to communicate project objectives, strategy, tactics, and progress.
- Support the development and implementation of strategic plans and projects within team pillars.
- Help scale, evaluate, and expand existing programs, with a focus on international projects, elections, and civic engagement.
- Develop and deliver written products and presentation materials to communicate team positions, strategy, and thought leadership.
- Develop and manage organizational assets, including decks, policies, procedures, web sites, SharePoint sites, and Teams channels.
- Respond to internal and external stakeholder needs in a timely manner.
5. What experience are we looking for to drive success?
- MUST-Have Skills and Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in elections and/or civic engagement, disinformation, or public policy, ideally in an operational capacity.
- Experience in managing and overseeing budgets and/or project planning.
- Proven capabilities to drive positive business results through cross-group collaboration and partnerships.
- Knowledge and experience with democratic processes and trends in election interference and influence operations from both US and international perspectives.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written, interpersonal communication, and presentation skills.
- Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Microsoft products/services/applications.
- Experience with or interest in Artificial Intelligence tools.
