1. General

• Job Title: Usability Researcher
• Level: Intermediate
• Location: Redmond, WA
• Duration: ASAP to Dec 31st, 2024, with strong potential for extension.

2. Summary of the opportunity

The role will consist of working on one project at a time until ramped up. They will be assigned to one project and work on one stage at a time – the research planning stage will be collaborative (the team drafts a plan together), the usability research conducting stage will also be highly collaborative, the synthesizing date stage will not be as collaborative as the contractor will be working largely on own to collect data, then they will work with others for feedback on the project. After ramping up they’ll take on multiple projects at the same time.

3. What are the key responsibilities?

• Deeply collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to plan and conduct UX research
• Contribute your research perspectives throughout the product design process to build user empathy and guide product direction
• Identify and prioritize research questions and methodologies to deliver research insights that influence product design
• Design and execute studies using a range of qualitative and quantitative research methods
• Communicate research insights through written reports and live presentations in clear, concise, and compelling ways
• Collaborate with other user researchers to leverage each other’s work across the studio.

4. What experience are we looking for to drive success?

• Minimum 2 year's experience with mixed methods usability testing experience
• Minimum 2 year's experience with conducting interviews, usability tests, and surveys
• Minimum 2 year's experience with quantitative analysis tools (UserZoom, Qualtrics, etc.)
