II Corps Consultants is Hiring a Marine Corps University Research Analyst Near Quantico, VA

Position Title: Research Analyst

Position Location: Hybrid – Quantico, VA

Employment Status: Full Time

Travel: Minimal [Camp Lejeune, NC and Camp Pendleton, CA]

Start Date: Immediate

Salary Range: $80,000 to $85,000

Position Description: The Marine Corps University (MCU) Institutional Research, Assessment, and Planning (IRAP) is responsible for ensuring the university’s ongoing commitment to institutional effectiveness by providing assessment support and guidance. This includes monitoring both direct and indirect measures of achievement, academically and administratively. The IRAP Research Analyst will support IRAP’s mission in the collection of information supporting systematic assessment and evaluation of both resident and nonresident programs, and promote the use of relevant, timely, and accessible data from which leaders can gain a deeper understanding of issues and conclusions that support decision-making, resource allocation, and institutional effectiveness. The IRAP Research Analyst will conduct and employ various qualitative research methods, work within a collaborative team environment, and support studies of teaching, learning, and institutional effectiveness to meet organizational goals.

Job Requirements [Minimum]

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or similar field
  • Knowledge of qualitative research methods such as principles of qualitative coding
  • Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate, and lead focus groups and interviews
  • Ability to communicate and establish rapport with target audience
  • Ability to support research activities such as literature searches, development of annotated bibliographies, development of overviews of research projects or scientific topics, processing of transcripts, and text coding of reports
  • Ability to draft and write sponsor and university-level reports with vignettes and thematic analysis of collected data

Highly Desired Skills and Experience

  • Marine Corps or military veteran
  • Experience as student or faculty at the Marine Corps University

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
