Our team strives daily to enrich the lives within the healthcare communities we serve and works determinedly to meet and exceed the expectations of our clients.
We are growing and expanding our team and are looking for a self-driven Food Service Director to join our team!
Our Food Service Director directs and assists in the preparation and servicing of regular meals and therapeutic diets, orders food and supplies as well as maintains area and equipment in sanitary conditions and assures the smooth operation within our client’s facility.
Responsibilities (not All Inclusive)
  • Is responsible for food purchase from approved vendors, production, and timely service of meals.
  • Directs and supervises all dietary functions.
  • Maintains cost records and works to meet budget guidelines.
  • Hires, orientates, trains, counsels, disciplines, and when appropriate, terminates dietary employees.
  • Schedules work hours and assignments; also reviews and checks staff work performance.
  • Is responsible to see that each shift is properly staffed.
  • Checks in and inventories incoming food and supplies.
  • Assures that proper storage is available, and that handling of food and supplies complies with current guidelines.
  • Processes new diet orders and diet changes when received from nursing service. Always keeps diet information updated.
  • Plans and assists in preparation and service of holiday and special meals and functions.
  • Visits residents to do initial nutritional assessment and screening, explain diet, record food preferences, and promote a quality food service.
  • Evaluates work performance and gives evaluations to dietary employees. Maintains the personnel records of the dietary employees.
  • Inspects Dietary Department regularly to ensure that it is safe and sanitary.
  • Ensures continued compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
ExperienceAssociate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Active Certified Dietary Manager (CDM, CFPP) meeting the criteria set forth by the ANFP.
Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, company matching 401 (k) plan, disability insurance, tuition assistance and continuing education support.
Pay: $60,000 annually
