Job Details

We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional artisanal baker to join our bakery team that specializes in rustic breads, fermentation and laminated doughs (sourdough, baguettes, pain au lait, croissant, rye etc.). We are focused on naturally leavened products with an emphasis on organic and locally sourced ingredients.

Hourly rate is determined by experience.
Housing might be available for right candidate.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITIED TO:

  • Scaling, mixing, portioning, shaping, laminating and baking a variety of doughs.
  • Knowledge and understanding of fermentation.
  • Production and finishing baked goods for morning bake-off. 
  • Production of confections and batters.
  • Maintain mother 
  • Working liaison with Chef Matthew and Director of Operations Doug Sheehan
  • Complying with regulatory health and safety standards.
  • Managing and maintaining inventory.
  • Monitoring quality control for consistency and high standards.
  • Setting up and breaking down of station each shift.
  • Ordering and waste control

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Passion for our bread, ideology and direction
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Full-time, early morning availability. Must work weekends and holidays. 
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
  • Clear communication, time management and organization skills.
  • Responsible work ethic, with a focus on working independently and multi-tasking.
  • Teach and oversee baking team.
