Position Summary:

The Director of Events is responsible for all aspects of the coordination of private and non-private events at Il Buco, Il Buco Alimentari, Il Buco Al Mare, Il Buco Vita, Off Site catering and In Home events.

This role requires creative flexibility, with the ability to think on your feet, working directly with our General Managers, Chefs and all other team members to ensure all events are to the Il Buco standard. 

The Director Events reports directly to the Owner & DoO on all event based strategies for our restaurants in NYC and Out East. 

List of Duties

1. Oversee sales effort for all Events:

• Develop and strategize on all revenue streams to ensure our operations are generating revenue year round. Not limited to: Buyouts, private dinners, in-home catering, off-site catering, wedding rehearsal dinners, wholesale outreach etc.
• Maximize the utilization of all venues and offsite catering services
• Respond to all inquiries by EOD
• Collaborate on outreach to potential clients with appropriate market research, networking and contacts
• Send out email solicitations to past clients and potential new ones on a bi-monthly basis (coordinate with marketing to prevent overlap)
• Propose ideas to ownership to improve services and quality of events
• Coordinate with marketing to promote events, and publicize events when appropriate
• Conduct pre and post event evaluations and report on outcomes
• Identify event opportunities that will generate the most interest
• Maintain database on clients, inquiry results, and outreach efforts
• Assist client with menu selections and design
• Coordinate client floral, cake and AV needs
• Consult with Chefs, Beverage Director, Sommeliers and Management when needed
• Input events in RESY and Create Folders in Dropbox
• Post, update & replace BEO’s weekly and when needed
• Create BEO packets for staff before BEO meetings
• Lead BEO meetings with necessary parties 
• Update menus in Dropbox and Tripleseat
