Job Responsibilities

1. Serves as B.H. Consent Decree Data Analyst

2. In collaboration with the rest of the data team, works on data requests from various stakeholders to determine and evaluate user data processing needs and suitability of existing data amid known data quality concerns

3. Works with the rest of data team to understand, diagnose, and enhance the quality of data elements within the Data Warehouse and Application Development structures

4. Works with DoIT to understand information systems issues affecting operations within B.H.

5. Drives or travels to and attends continuing data analytic and visualization trainings and seminars

6. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above

Minimum Qualifications

1. Requires a master’s degree in business or public administration or a closely related field, preferably including coursework in systems analysis, accounting, computer science, and statistics and two years of professional experience in public or business administration; OR requires a bachelor’s degree in business or public administration or a closely related field, preferably including coursework in systems analysis, computer science, and statistics and four years of experience directly related to the development, maintenance, and coordination of a computer-based management information system.

Preferred Qualifications

1. 2 years of experience in a public or business organization applying the ability to recognize and solve problems in a complex management information system.
2. 2 years of experience in a public or business organization applying the ability to think logically, exercise good judgment, and work with considerable initiative with complex data from computer reports.
3. 2 years of experience in a public or business organization applying working knowledge of organizational functions, the structuring of programs and information systems, and the character of communications between organizational entities.
4. 2 years of experience in a public or business organization exercising the ability to conduct complex management systems studies to accommodate information requirements in the area assigned.

Specialized Skills

1. Of the noted years of experience, requires 2 years of professional experience working with Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or above, ETL using Microsoft SQL Server Integration and Analysis Services, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or CrystalReports building and report subscription creation; requires a minimum of 2 years of experience with Power BI or related visualization software and one year demonstrated experience in creating data models in Power BI or related software.
