Position Summary:
This position is responsible for inputting betting information into the system, printing tickets, accepting money from patrons for bet placement, and giving tickets to guest. This position also accurately maintains a bank and reconciles all transactions at the end of their shift.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promotes superior guest service.
- Maintains, and perpetuates a positive organizational culture according to the principles of the Spirit of Tâlícn and the Core Values of ilani.
- Welcomes customers in a friendly, upbeat, and helpful manner.
- Responds to all guest inquiries and explains the process of wagering.
- Obtains a cash bank from the Casino Cage at the start of each business day and returns the bank to the Casino Cage at the end of each business day, with the assistance of a security escort.
- Maintains the cash bank, documenting all transactions and balancing the bank at the end of each business day.
- Places bets as requested by customers.
- Verifies and processes winning tickets, with Supervisor/Manager approval where necessary.
- Ensures compliance Cowlitz Tribal Gaming Commission regulations and with the company’s internal controls.
- Keeps well-versed in the products and services offered in the Sportsbook and promotes them to customers in a confident and efficient manner.
- Explains Sportsbook promotional programs to potential customers, hands out informational brochures, and keeps informed of all promotional activities and events.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED; Recognized Equivalent of a High School Diploma (RED) or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD).
- 2 years’ customer service experience.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong interest in technology and agility at learning new products and features.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be willing to work in a smoking environment.
- Must be willing to adhere to company health and safety measures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with sports and sports betting preferred.
- Minimum one (1) year prior cashiering/money-handling experience preferred.
