We are looking for a boundless Regulatory Affairs Associate to support our sustainability and packaging initiatives at ILIA. The Regulatory Affairs Associate will support the regulatory team with critical document management for product compliance, safety assessments, and clinical affairs (product safety and claim substantiation).
This role is remote and reports into the Director of Regulatory Affairs.
Role & Responsibilities
Support the product development, packaging, R&I and cross functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance
Coordinate waste management initiatives
Manage documentation and correspondence for regulations impacting packaging (sustainability, recycling, waste/EPR (Extended Product Responsibility) and safety assessment)
Support retail expansion by assisting in the compilation of documents and information needed to register in new markets and/or registration of new products
Support global compliance and product registration for new and existing products in existing markets
Help to create a composite formula for multi-shade products
Help to create, update and store efficacy test reports
Support the product development team in reviewing the raw material global regulatory compliance of formulas and requesting additional information as needed (e.g., raw material source, country of origin, technical data, etc.).
2 years of regulatory affairs experience in the cosmetic beauty industry, preferably with packaging & sustainability experience.
Extensive knowledge and experience in global product launches across multiple beauty categories (skincare, makeup, OTC, etc.).
Experience with Canadian, USA, and European cosmetic regulations
Proficiency with Excel, Adobe Acrobat and the Google Suite
Ability to work in a fast-moving, fast-changing environment.
Excellent work ethic, with a strong efficiency orientation: Must be organized, detail-oriented, resourceful, and able to work with multiple projects at once to meet tight deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop relationships and communicate (written and oral) with the product development team, contract manufacturers, and raw material vendors.
