Illinois College is Hiring a ST IC Admissions Student Ambassador 2024/2025 Near Jacksonville, IL
Student Ambassadors participate in and support the college’s strategic recruitment and engagement initiatives, including those efforts and events aimed at promoting the value of a liberal arts degree (from Illinois College), recruiting talented and diverse new students to the college, and providing personalized attention and meaningful experiences for prospective students, their families, faculty, staff, alumni, donors, and friends of the college. Primary responsibilities include educating visitors about the campus life, histories, traditions, and achievements of the college while speaking on their personal experiences to promote the college positively. Visits to Illinois College can include a combination of in-person or virtual offerings on an individual or group basis. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Serving as a member of the Hospitality Team Assist with event setup and breakdown Serving as a student presenter and panelist at campus visit days or events Leading tours for staff and faculty candidates and new hires Communicating with future students in person, over email, and by phone Serve as an IC Student Leader on Hilltop Connect The work schedule for Student Ambassadors can vary depending on the student’s class and athletic schedule. However, Student Ambassadors typically work 5 hours each week. Admission events occur Monday - Saturday. Flexibility is required. Must complete one full semester at IC at the time of application
