The Insurance Services Representative is responsible for providing administrative support and customer service to clients, agents, and insurance carriers. This role involves processing insurance applications, policy changes, and claims submissions, as well as addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to insurance coverage. Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service and Support:
Serve as the first point of contact for clients, agents, and insurance carriers, responding to inquiries via phone, email, or in-person visits.
Provide prompt, courteous, and professional assistance to address clients' questions, concerns, and service requests.
Policy Processing and Administration:
Process insurance applications, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations accurately and efficiently.
Verify client information, coverage details, and policy terms to ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Claims Management and Support:
Assist clients with the claims filing process, including gathering necessary documentation, completing claim forms, and liaising with insurance carriers.
Follow up on claims status, provide updates to clients, and facilitate communication between clients and claims adjusters.
Documentation and Recordkeeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, policy transactions, and claims activities using insurance software and CRM systems.
Prepare and distribute insurance documents, certificates of insurance, and policy endorsements as needed.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to foster trust, loyalty, and retention.
Proactively reach out to clients to review their insurance coverage, address any gaps or changes, and identify cross-selling opportunities.
Administrative Support:
Assist insurance agents and brokers with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, preparing proposals, and organizing client meetings.
Coordinate with internal departments (underwriting, billing, claims) and external partners (insurance carriers, vendors) to facilitate smooth and efficient operations.
