The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and results oriented individual to serve as BH Consent Decree Project Administrator. Subject to management approval, this position will oversee, coordinate, and provide direction for the implementation of special projects and program initiatives issues by the Executive Administrator for BH Decree Management. The position will plan and establish objectives to achieve goals and implementation schedules, while serving as liaison with leadership, private organizations, other state agencies, and the general public. The position will also plan, manage, and coordinate evaluations of Department and/or service provider programs and services. This position provides a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about children and interested in being a leader in project management in the area of BH Consent Decree implementation focusing on the work being done with our youth in care. 1. Serves as B.H. Consent Decree Project Administrator
2. Serves as liaison with leadership, private organizations, other state agencies, and the general public
3. Plans, develops, and directs special Department programs as requested by the Executive Administrator, Executive Deputy Director, and Director
4. Serves as full line supervisor
5. Plans, manages, and coordinates evaluations of Department and/or service provider programs and services
6. Drafts suggested policy guides, procedures, standards, and other rule related documents
7. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above
1. Requires an MSW or a master’s degree in a related human services field
2. Requires four years of administrative child welfare experience with an MSW or five years of administrative child welfare experience with a master’s degree in a related human services field
1. Prefers four years of professional experience in the development and implementation of policies and procedures in a public or business organization
2. Prefers four years of professional experience conducting program planning activities on a statewide basis in a public or business organization
3. Prefers four years of professional experience conducting or managing quality assurance activities in a public or business organization
4. Prefers four years of professional experience in the development of strategies for the improvement of program services in a public or business organization
5. Prefers four years of professional experience serving in a liaison capacity for a public or business organization
1. Requires the ability to pass a background check.
2. Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties. Requires appropriate, valid driver’s license.
