This position serves as a Nursing Supervisor to staff in all phases of the Health Care delivery unit, laboratory, radiology and nursing programs at the Dixon Correctional Center. The incumbent will work as a full-line supervisor to staff, assigning and reviewing work, providing guidance and training to assigned staff, scheduling staff to meet day-to-day operating needs, establish annual goals and objectives. The incumbent will work with state and contractual staff and monitor the quality of care given to our patients. The Nursing Supervisor will assist with the monthly reports, have open communication with the Office Health Services, assist with CQI data collection and studies, as well as audit completion. Dixon Correctional Center is distinct in its size as IDOC's largest medium security facility and is unique in its diversity. It is situated on 462 acres of land just north of the city of Dixon, with 125 acres inside the perimeter fence.
