The Illinois Department of Revenue (IDOR) is seeking to hire a Section manager for its Remittance Processing Section (Imaging) within the Document Control & Deposit Division (DC&D). DC&D processes tax returns and tax payments that are mailed to or walked into IDOR, as well as all items needing taxpayer account research before deposit. The Remittance Processing Section is responsible fo depositing 90% of all remittance received at IDOR within 24-48 hours following either a manual or electronic process. The Section Manager position is needed to plan the activities of the section in order to meet mandated deposit timeframes. Working closely with the Division Manager, the Section Manager oversees the work of account technicians and office support staff, distributing work assignments appropriately to meet day-to-day operational needs. The ideal candidate for this position is competent in supervising staff, analyzing program needs, leading special projects, and preparing reports.
