Illuminate Minds is a growing business in Sunland, CA. The mission of the Illuminate Minds Inc., is to provide evidence based comprehensive clinical services to improve the lives of individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other varies developmental disabilities. We implement evidence based treatments and techniques to meet each individual’s unique needs.

Behavior Technicians implement in-home based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment programs to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Behavior Technicians work with Illuminate Minds clients and families under the direct supervision of a Clinical Supervisor. Treatment plans implemented are designed to address skills acquisition as well as addressing challenging behaviors that may occur in a variety of settings.

Education, Certification and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• RBT Certification preferred
• Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) preferred
• Bilingual Preferred; Armenian or Spanish
• A valid California Driver's License
• Reliable transportation & proof of auto insurance
• Negative TB Test
• Live Scan Fingerprint Clearance (Criminal Background Check)

• COVID-19 considerations:

Good analytical critical thinking skills with the ability to record and track therapy progress

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships
• High school diploma (relevant college course work in behavioral health field preferred)
• Registered Behavior Technician certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hiring
• Ability to maintain fingerprint clearance card, CPR & First Aid certification

Physical Requirements

• Must have the ability to lift and carry clients and maintain a variety of postures including but not limited to kneeling, squatting, standing, sitting on the floor for extended periods of time, and using hands to touch, feel, or grasp objects
• Must have the ability to use heights and ladder climbing as needed.
• Must be able to move quickly and efficiently in a busy environment with busy schedules
• Must be able to view e-mail messages from the front line of work (i.e., computers, tables/toys, etc.)

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
