Illusions Food Company, a manufacturing facility producing wholesale bakery/deli products, is located in Anchorage, Alaska. We prepare a large quantity of baked goods and deli items each day, including cookies, muffins, brownies, cakes, bars/squares, biscotti, scones, cinnamon rolls, etc.

Shift: 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday - Friday only. No other shift available. Please only apply if this time works within your schedule.

Looking for a Leader to oversee our Bakery Production Team. Starting at minimum of $20, negotiable depending upon experience.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

* Lead and work directly with the Bakery Production Team, minimum of six to eight staff, including the Dishwasher and Oven positions.
* Coordinate with Bakery Manager and Bakery Supervisor to ensure Production Team is: following kitchen and food safety guidelines; knows what is needed to be completed during the shift; operating efficiently and effectively; completing logs correctly; properly working with ingredients; preparing, finishing, frosting, wrapping, labeling, and storing products correctly, etc.
* Coordinate with other teams (Bakers, Order Fulfillment, Deli, etc.) to determine production priorities to ensure products are available to fill orders in a timely manner and inventory levels are achieved.
* Assist with deliveries of incoming ingredients. Help put away correctly in storage.
* Understand how to perform all Production Team duties, act as back up and/or ensure qualified team member(s) are trained to act as back up for dishwashing and oven duties.

Requirements for all staff:

* Operate equipment in a safe and focused manner.
* Practice effective food/product cost controls.
* Maintain accurate record keeping of products prepared.
* Set and achieve the highest standard when executing position duties to minimize errors and product waste. Report any potential contamination or quality error to management immediately.
* Maintain proper storage, identification and organization of products, using FIFO method, while maintaining optimal freshness.
* Maintain a clean and safe work area(s). Ensure proper equipment and facility cleaning practices and maintain food code compliant facility at all times.
* Aid with special orders and projects as requested by management.

Position/Experience Requirements:
* High school diploma or GED.
* Two years team management in restaurant or food service facility.
* Baking experience preferred.
* Understanding of baker’s math.
* Speak, read and understand the English language.
* Must be at least 18 years of age.
* State of Alaska or Municipality of Anchorage Food Workers Card (within 30 days of hire) and/or ServSafe Certification (preferred).

Physical Demands:
* Include but are not limited to: balancing, bending, carrying, climbing (foot stool or ladder), kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, squatting, standing, twisting, walking.
* Ability to carry/lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 25 pounds at all times.
* Exposure to extreme temperatures (cooler, freezer, oven, outside, etc.)
* Ability to stand for long periods of time, up to 8 hours daily.
