What You'll Do

The Corporate Recruiter has experience in full life-cycle corporate recruiting, preferably with exposure to recruiting in the professional services space. Strong candidate sourcing ability is important, as are solid technology fundamentals (Applicant Tracking Systems, & the MS Office Suite). Critical to success will be the ability to establish value adding partnerships with hiring managers, as well as developing a strong referral network within our industry through the course of day to day work on requisitions and through executing a networking plan at the direction of Talent Acquisition (TA) leadership. Third-party agency recruiting, especially in direct placement is a plus as many of the skills that have supported the success of our recruiting function line up with the consultative sales skillset developed in working with both clients and candidates in that role.

Essential job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supports and demonstrates IMA's core values
  • Values and understands the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion among all IMA associates
  • In partnership with TA leadership, develops long-term approaches to talent pipeline development in their areas of focus
  • Consults with hiring managers, provides expertise as appropriate and solicits input from TA team when additional strategic support is necessary
  • Attacks challenges creatively with a variety of possible solutions when standard approaches are not achieving target results
  • Ensures recruiting priorities are appropriate and aligned with hiring manager expectations by studying organization plans and objectives, meeting with managers to discuss needs and strategizing with TA team members and leadership as necessary
  • Confirms applicant requirements by studying job descriptions and job qualifications and holding intake meetings with hiring managers
  • Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants, analyzing responses, verifying references, and comparing qualifications to job requirements
  • Achieves staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates, coordinating their interviews with hiring managers and providing guidance to hiring managers in making hiring decisions
  • Works with TA leadership to develop and execute a strategy for building a talent pipeline in their assigned areas of focus; Proactively identifies and suggests to TA leadership partnerships (university/educational, community, diversity, professional, industry, etc.) that could enhance IMA's access to high-potential talent
  • Avoids legal challenges by understanding current legislation, enforcing regulations with managers, recommending new procedures, and conducting training; proactively makes TA leadership aware when they encounter new legislation or regulation in the hiring space

You Should Have

  • At least 3 years' related experience
  • Experience full-cycle recruiting in a professional services or similar environment is highly preferred. Experience in third-party recruiting is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Prior success in developing candidate pipelines/talent pools proactively through direct sourcing
  • Knowledge of best practices in Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion focused recruiting is a plus
  • Ability to effectively manage their "full desk" (relationships, candidate pools, requisition load and requests for assistance as needed, administrative responsibilities, etc.) with moderate guidance
  • Demonstrated recruitment skills with entry to mid-level positions, with a solid track record of collaborating with all levels of management in a geographically dispersed organization
  • Thorough understanding of federal and state laws regarding employment practices
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong MS Office computer skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to "read" people and connect with various audiences
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to be clear and diplomatic as required
  • Sound judgment, maturity, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
