IMA Financial Group is Hiring a Managing Director - Contractual Risk Assessment Near Salt Lake, UT

IMA's Contractual Risk Client Advantage team is seeking a Managing Director to join our group! This role will be responsible for the leadership and oversight of the contractual risk assessment team including hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management and will provide thought leadership relating to insurance, contract, and risk transfer strategies adding value to account teams and clients. This position can be located in out of any of the IMA hub offices and is eligible for a hybrid schedule!
A successful applicant must have a strong business acumen, professionalism, effectively build relationships, and strong problem solving and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
  • Independently review insurance and risk transfer specifications in client contracts and agreements and advise clients regarding risk exposures and options for reduction of said exposures
  • Prepare and present training sessions to colleagues and clients on risk transfer and insurance issues found in contracts
  • Mentor and assist in training contract attorneys with reference materials on topics germane to review of contracts and insurance coverages
  • Lead operational projects to benefit Contractual Risk Practice and enhance value-driven service to clients and interaction with service team members
  • Assist in the introduction of contract review to others internally and externally
  • Participate in new business presentations
  • Partner with National Practice Directors and regional/market leadership to develop best practices and best-in-class service.
  • Interact professionally and timely with clients via email, phone, and in-person
  • Perform functions of the role within an IMA office 0-50% of the time
  • Support and demonstrate IMA’s core values
  • Value and understand the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion among all IMA associates
Required Skills And Experiences
  • 5-10 years of similar or related experience required
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Juris Doctorate Graduate degree required; passed the bar preferred
  • Extensive background in contractual risk transfer required
  • Strong understanding of general and industry-specific contracts required
  • Strong understanding of State laws and statutes related to risk transfer required
  • Ability to perform legal research required
  • Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong attention to detail
  • Experience with MS Office products required (specifically PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel)

Salary Range
$170,200—$254,400 USD
