I am working on a job opening in Dyersburg, TN. The client is considering people who live in other states and may come to Dyersburg from time to time. This is an opportunity for a Structural Design Engineer. Should be knowledgeable about building construction for industrial facilities and factories.

Designs complete project, system, or process.

Working in a team environment, serve as the technical specialist for structural design. Research product specifications and contact vendors.

Prepare technical product specifications.

Review, comment , and approve shop drawings and submittals.

Work with other engineers, designers, and project managers.

Develop budgets and schedules.

Develops standards and guidelines for the engineering department.

REQUIREMENTS

Registration as a PE in Tennessee is strongly preferred. Will consider registration in other states provided you are willing to live and work in Tennessee.

Minimum five years’ experience as a structural engineer, working with building construction.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering related to structural engineering. In particular, a BS degree in mechanical or civil engineering with specific experience in structural design is preferred.
