ImageCare Radiology is Hiring a Full Time Registered Nurse Near Lake Hopatcong, NJ
ImageCare is seeking an experienced Full Time Registered Nurse for our Jefferson office. This position will support the Physicians and Technologists in providing quality professional and knowledgeable medical care to our patients.
The hours for this position would be Monday - Friday: 8:30AM - 5PM
The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills interacting with patients. Ability to communicate in a pleasant and informative manner with patients, their family, physicians, and other team members, as well as the following additional requirements:
- Nursing License NJ
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Triage patients and prepare them for exam. Organize and research patient records as needed for daily patient schedule. Treat and care for patients within scope of state medical guideline.
- Assist Technologist with patient care, treatment and education.
- Assist Technologist with any adverse reactions a patient might experience with contrast injections (Shortness of breath, Rash).
- Document in patients medical record as needed with regards to treatment and progress notes.
- Perform diagnostic procedures as trained. Pre and post procedure teaching. Assist physician with surgical procedures.
- Return patients’ phone calls when applicable.
- Order supplies for exam rooms and ensure that exam rooms are ready for patients.
- Address patients’ needs and questions as they arise in a professional and courteous manner.
- Assist with The Breast Center Navigation system with regards to patient follow up, calling referring Physicians as needed.
- Adheres to the strict guidelines outlined by the AMA regarding safe handling of narcotic medications.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience resulting in broad knowledge of a field related to the job, plus 5 years related experience and/or training, and 1 year of related management experience. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
