Responsibilities & QualificationsThe primary focus of the Director of Operations position is to provide support in each plant in a Region, drive safety compliance and performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of a region
- Coach/Development of new Plant Managers
- Drive daily process improvement in assigned territory.
- Manage productivity reporting & performance for the assigned territory.
- Work closely with Senior Management in developing long-term operational strategies that meet the company’s objectives.
- Ability to trouble shoot, problem solve and perform root cause analysis
- Foster a safe work environment
- Support and training of plants on internal plant productivity systems
- Collaborate with cross functional departments on projects and new initiatives
- Responsible for training and certification of all compliance areas
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in operations
- Bachelor’s degree
- Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Proven track record in managing multiple locations
- Ability to trouble shoot, problem solve and perform root cause analysis
- Travel requirement (75%)
- Must thrive in a progressive environment
- Strong organizational and presentation skills
- Proficient with MS Office, Excel, Power Point, and general PC applications
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
- Detail oriented with excellent follow-up, creativity, problem solving, conflict management, written and oral communication skills
- Proven ability to drive performance without formal authority
