Imagen Technologies is Hiring a Remote Integrations Engineer

Imagen Technologies is a high-growth healthcare startup enabling patients to be diagnosed, treated, and managed at their primary care appointment (vs. having to refer out to hospitals, imaging centers and other slow and expensive options). Today, we’ve built an AI-enabled platform that enables patients to receive immediate diagnostic tests, immediate results, and immediate next steps – all in a single Primary Care appointment. For example: through our platform, women across the U.S. are now receiving comprehensive breast imaging, results, and specialist-driven next steps at their local Primary Care office, condensing a multi-month diagnostic journey into 60 minutes.

With over $160m in funding from Google Ventures and some of the largest clinical networks in the country, we are rapidly expanding this platform across the U.S. - from 16 states and 500,000 patients in 2023, to 20 states and 1.5M patients in 2024. By 2026, we will be delivering care across 35 states and to more than 5m patients per year.

We are looking for an Integrations Analyst to help lead and implement integrations between our client’s EMR systems and our cloud-based Imagen systems. You will be responsible for partnering with internal and external stakeholders to provide high-quality and reliable data exchange solutions for both HL7 Orders/Results and DICOM. This is a hands-on technical role, and our ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you and your team will be responsible for working on new customer deployment projects, as well as providing ongoing daily support to meet the requirements of the Imagen service lines while maintaining a constant focus on professionalism and client satisfaction. The success of our clients depends on you and your team, so our ideal candidate has deep healthcare experience, excellent client-facing communication skills, and a track record of managing multiple priorities, tasks, and applications.

Responsibilities

  • Work with clients, vendors, and internal teams to understand data requirements and develop best-in-class data exchange solutions.
  • Be responsible for leading, managing, and implementing integrations for multiple projects concurrently.
  • Own the end-to-end verification and validation process for all integration projects and integration/process changes.
  • Document and maintain the integration details for each project to include a data flow diagram for all integration projects.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert to EMR vendors regarding Imagen systems including, but not limited to, Intersystem Iris, eRAD, Fluency, and Studycast.
  • Work closely with customers to provide consultation on solutions to business problems for new and existing customers.
  • Apply a thorough knowledge of the needs of a business unit and knowledge of systems technology to identify and design improvements for integration solutions and applications.
  • Provide high-quality systems and client support for day-to-day operations and new customer deployments, including after-hours coverage.
  • Assist the Level 1 and Level 2 Imagen Support Team members in day-to-day troubleshooting, identifying areas for improvement, and proactively monitoring integrations to identify and resolve potential issues before they impact patient care.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) with 3 years of experience with health care integrations using HL7 and DICOM, achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Expertise with additional integrations standards (e.g., FHIR, XDS, CDA) is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with one or more controls frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, ISO, SOC2, etc.) is required
  • Integration experience with multiple EMR vendors is a plus, but not required
  • Experience with Intersystems (Iris) integration engine is a plus, but not required
  • Experience with programming languages (javascript, python, c#, java, object oriented programming, cache) is a plus but not required
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Enjoys working with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Effective communication skills - oral, written, and presentation with physicians, clinical staff, management, and vendors.
