Imaginations at Work is a Step Up To Quality 5-star center. We are hiring an Assistant Teacher for our Pre-Kindergarten Program. Our goal to prepare our students for Kindergarten both academically and social/emotionally.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency
• Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program preferred
• Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.

• Responsibilities:
• Lesson Planning (Creative Curriculum)
• Assessments (Teaching Strategies Gold)
• Sending home daily updates on our app (Brightwheel)
• Maintaining state regulated ratios
• Creating a fun, safe, and educational environment
• Using Developmentally Appropriate Practices with the children
• Maintain control, routine, management, and sanitation of the classroom
• Parent Communication

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $13.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• No nights
• No weekends
