This role will contribute, support, and, in cases, lead M&A efforts and projects. This will involve direct user support through the migration process, data migrations, configuration, and installation of new physical equipment, and ultimately includes decommissioning of legacy equipment. All of this will be done in partnership with IMEG’s IT and M&A Departments. Some key duties and responsibilities include: Identify and understand the IT topology of the acquisition, with the understanding that there will be an unknown multitude of new/old physical servers, networks, SANs and other IT equipment regularly seen during M&A's. Ensure legacy data, systems and any needed items are migrated over to IMEGs standard IT infrastructure and equipment so it can be supported for the long term Directly assist users during the transition phase both in person and virtually via tickets. Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills. Ability to respond to after-hours requests on a limited basis. Education and experience requirements are: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent combination of education and experience required 10 years' experience with IT infrastructure cutovers or buildouts is required Mergers and acquisition experience on the IT side is preferred This position is not eligible for sponsorship So, what are you waiting for? What you can expect in this position First 60 days you’ll be getting your feet under you. You’ll be expected to learn our systems and tools, who to talk to for your needs and to actively assist in work for current and past acquisitions with guidance from your manager. You will be assisting with work which is already in flight prior to your joining IMEG and you will be given projects from past and current acquisitions to work and complete. You would be expected to ask lots of questions. If you’re not asking a LOT of questions, that would be a concern. Your manager will be available to help guide you and to answer any questions. You will also be supported by our IT and M&A staff to help guide you until you’re more comfortable. 60 days to 6 months, expectations are you’ll be more effective in your role and know who to talk to for resolving issues. You will be given more complicated tasks at this time which you will be expected both manage and complete during this window of time. There will absolutely be cases where you’ll need guidance and have questions and you’d be expected to reach out to your manager for during these times so we can work together to resolve the problem and educate you as we go. You’ll have a lot thrown at you in this phase and expectations are you will speak up when you are struggling so we can help you. This should be a time of learning, not one of frustration, so expectations are for you communicate with your manager, (and others), during this time often, ask questions and provide ideas. After 6 months you’d be expected to be more or less self sufficient and self directed. While there will be some tickets from users, this is more of a task and results oriented position so those would be your metric to assess your performance in this role. There are a lot of variables with these acquisitions, so I would expect this role to be one of constant learning and development. Each of these acquisitions are different, but the goal is the same, to profitably get our acquisitions migrated into IMEG’s corporate model on the IT side so they’re supportable for the long term and the employees involved have a good experience as they’re brought on board. IMEG Corp., an employee-owned corporation, is committed to investing in employees’ futures through professional development programs and opportunities for career advancement.
