The Dean of Students (11, 12, PG) will collaborate with directors, teachers, advisors and parents to ensure that all students are successful at IMG Academy. The Dean plays the central role in resolving disciplinary issues (academic and non-academic), ensuring that students are getting the support they need to maintain high levels of performance and exemplary conduct, and ensuring that standards are upheld. Position Responsibilities Support and regularly monitor students regarding academic, behavioral and social issues. Maintain contact with parents as needed. Track and monitor any issues of Academic integrity. Oversee referral process of students to the well-being committee and serve as a member of the committee. Liaise with Academic Affairs managers, teachers, coaches, College Counselors, and Student Life staff regarding student-athlete achievement, attendance, and behavior in school, sport and campus life. Liaise with Director of Student-Athlete Wellbeing and the Director of Student Life, to interpret, explain and apply the code of conduct with applicable laws, codes and regulatory policies and procedures. Oversee and collaborate on programs to promote positive student behavior and intervention strategies. Oversee student conduct incident report database ensuring that accurate student discipline and attendance records are maintained. Support Campus Safety Manager and Health & Safety Coordinator in the review and execution of emergency planning and response programs. Collaborate with Attendance Office to help ensure good attendance for students and follow up on concerns as needed. Actively enforce school policies in collaboration with staff and faculty. Participate in processes pertaining to discipline committee to address student and academic and behavioral concerns and take disciplinary action when needed. Collaborate with student-athlete advisors to inform prospective student-athletes of expectations at IMGA. Promote a campus culture of community which attracts and retains student-athletes. Knowledge, Skills and Ability Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology or related field. Experience in educational administration, student services or teaching. Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse, academic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds of Academy students, parents and employees. Organization and management practices related to the analysis and evaluation of programs, policies and operational needs. Excellent presentation skills with the ability to interface with a variety of audiences. Collaborative approach. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Skills Master's degree in education, Psychology or related field Experience playing, coaching or administering sports programs Physical Demands and Work Environment Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays as needed
