The Director of Educational Support Services provides vision and leadership, managing all educational support programming, including the Learning Resource Center, English Language Learning, English Language Center, Assessment Center, and oversight of the tutoring program. In addition, this role will work closely with the Director of Admission to review aspiring students' profiles during the admission process. This leadership position is responsible for formulating instructional goals and objectives and providing leadership and accountability for IMG Academy Educational Services. This 12-month, full-time position reports directly to the Assistant Head of School. Position ResponsibilitiesEffectively manage the Learning Resource Center (LRC), English Language Learner (ELL) Programming, and English Language Center (ELC) in alignment with IMG Academy’s Core Values and Mission. Evaluate the processes and structure of each program, creating efficient systems of record keeping, progress monitoring, and growth indicators, as well as analyze each programs’ efficacy.Lead a team of faculty, tutors, proctors effectively, promoting a positive work environment.Evaluate the teachers and staff on the Educational Support Services team according to established guidelines and practices. Ensure continuous program improvement and efficiency. Facilitate meetings and provide training to staff specific to the program's functions. Set staffing levels for educational support services with fiscal responsibility.Consult, communicate, and work cooperatively with teams to provide appropriate programming for students and maintain a positive work environment for all. Collect, evaluate and utilize student achievement data to inform programming decisions and intervention plans. Work with families (current and new) throughout the year, and particularly over the summer to prepare students for the upcoming school year. Develop programs to provide appropriate support for students (tutoring, enrichment, remediation). Implement and maintain an effective referral process across campus, in close coordination with the enrollment team, admissions, teachers and sport advisors.Ensure all practices are legal and ethical so that each student can achieve at a high level and be prepared for post-secondary success. Serve as the custodian of all records regarding accommodations for students in the program. Create or curate supplemental resources, as needed, to strengthen the curriculum utilized across all areas.Design scope and sequences for all curriculum within the support services programs.Other duties, as assigned. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethic codes. Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree required in Special Education, Psychology or related field. Master's level degree preferred. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in an academic setting providing services to students with diagnosed learning differences, with increasing levels of responsibility - preferably with an understanding of independent schools.At least three (3) years of successful experience as an administrator, including the supervision of special education, English language learning and/or related services. Required Knowledge and SkillsIntervention practices in Multi-Tiered System(s) of Support (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI). Principles of record keeping and records management.Analysis of neuropsychological evaluations to identify appropriate accommodations Cross-cultural skills. Problem analysis and problem solving. Management, delegation, and coaching to improve staff performance. Clear communication in a proactive and timely manner with all stakeholders.Multi-tasking and prioritizing skills.Establishment and maintenance of positive working relationships with co-workers and families. Interpersonal and collaborative skills, including conflict resolutionExcellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Knowledge and SkillsESOL - English to Speakers of Other Languages endorsementExceptional Student Education (ESE) certificate Ability to use flexible thinking and adaptability to address student needs Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentAbility to work flexible hours to include occasional nights, weekends and holidays as required #LI-MV1
