Main Responsibilities
  • Review and interpret customer order for quality requirements.
  • Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation to ensure contractual compliance.
  • Monitor quality performance of assigned products from engineering design through final shipment. Advises engineering and manufacturing personnel on quality compliance.
  • Review certifications and reports of non-compliance to identify product and material deficiencies.
  • Determine conformance to applicable standards and codes.
  • Compile quality assurance documentation for customer submittal.
  • Prepare Job Quality Requirement document to incorporate customer requirements into the company quality assurance system.
  • Review and approve supplier's procedures and specifications.
  • Communicate and interact with Customers an Suppliers.
  • Coordinate customer inspections with company manufacturing personnel.
  • Review and evaluate work repair instructions for quality requirements; determine the need for changes in instructions to meet requirements.
  • Analyze company quality assurance programs and suggest possible improvements.

What We Are Looking For
  • Computer literate (MS Word, Excel)
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Excellent organizational and negotiation skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Must have creative thinking/problem solving skills.
  • Adhere to international business protocol (etiquette, time differences, etc.).
  • Travel domestically and internationally 10% of time.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, machining, welding, shop tools, equipment and health/safety requirements.
  • Knowledge of industry standards as they relate to valves
  • Familiar with inspection tools and techniques
  • Understand non-destructive testing, Inspection/Quality Control functions.
  • Experience in blueprint reading is preferred.
  • ERP system knowledge strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of government and industry standards as applied to quality assurance is preferred.
  • Knowledge of quality standards (IS0 9001, ASME, NACE, API, NQA-1, ANSI, and ASTM) preferred.
  • Fluency in a foreign language preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.
Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Metallurgical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (with a strong metallurgical background) from four-year college or university and/or
  • 2 years experience (ASME nuclear code desired) or equivalent experience.

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (office/cubicle environment with computers, fax machines and printers operating) to loud (manufacturing environment with large machinery operating).
Salary range: $90,000 annual - $106,000 annual, depending on experience.
