Job Description:We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Grade 7 & 8 STEM Teacher to join our team. As a STEM teacher, you will be responsible for teaching Algebra, Pre Algebra, Grade 7 and 8 Science, and coordinating the Science Fair. The ideal candidate will have a background in project-based and blended learning approaches, fostering an environment that encourages inquiry, critical thinking, and hands-on experimentation.Responsibilities:Develop and deliver engaging lessons in Algebra, Pre-Algebra, and Science to students in grades 7 and 8, differentiating to meet the diverse needs and abilities of studentsIncorporate project-based and blended learning methodologies into lesson plans to promote active student participation and deeper understanding.Create a supportive classroom environment conducive to inquiry, exploration, and experimentationCoordinate and oversee the annual Science Fair, guiding students through the research, experimentation, and presentation phasesProvide timely feedback and assessment to students to support their academic growth and developmentCollaborate with colleagues to integrate STEM concepts across the curriculum and promote interdisciplinary learning opportunitiesStay up-to-date of current trends and best practices in STEM education, attending professional development opportunities as neededQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Education, STEM field, or related field; Proven experience teaching Algebra, Pre-Algebra, and/or Science at the middle school level.Understanding of project-based and blended learning pedagogies, with a demonstrated ability to implement innovative instructional strategies.Strong communication and interpersonal skillsPlan, organize, and coordinate grade 7 and 8 science fairCommitment to ongoing professional growth and development in the field of STEM educationIf you are passionate about inspiring the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity!
